CLIMBING COTOPAXI

PROGRAM
1 DAY
QUITO-REFUGIO JOSE RIVAS
Tour through the avenue of volcanoes and we can look at the main elevation of the country.
Entrance to the Cotopaxi National Park.
We may also visit the Museum of Cotopaxi National Park.
Arrivals at the refuge parking lot at an altitude of 4550m
40 minutes walk to the refuge JOSE RIVAS 4800.

2 DAY
REFUGIO-SUMMIT COTOPAXI 5897m - QUITO
We will rise at midnight for breakfast and then equipped.
Departure at the summit of Cotopaxi 5897m. (Approximate time 01h00)
Approximate time of 6 hours ascent.
Back in about 3 hours.

Day 1
QUITO - REFUGIO Whimper
• Visit the Avenue of the Volcanoes and can admire the main elevations of Ecuador.
• visit the main cities in the mountains of Ecuador as: Latacunga, Ambato, Riobamba
• Revenue in the protected area of Chimborazo.
• Arrive at the first refuge at 4810m CARREL BROTHERS
• Walk to the second shelter Whimper 5000m. (Time travel Quito - 4h30 parking and parking at the time of the Whimper refuge is 40 minutes.)

Day 2
SUMMIT OF SHELTER-CHIMBORAZO
• We will rise at 23h00 to serve a light breakfast and equipment, the immediate start the trek to the summit
• (Time ascension 8 hours.)
• In the afternoon return to Quito.
